Jump - America's Van Halen Experience Lexington reviews
Van Morrison
"Jump - America's Van Halen Experience is a show I've always loved, so I eagerly seized the opportunity to travel 4 hours to see him. His tickets were pricey, and there were no opening act or alcohol sales post-performance (I do enjoy a cold beer or two). Despite the high cost, we managed to purchase a bucket of 6 beers for a steep $47 (they never gave me the $5 change or a bucket due to running out). Still, having a beer during the show made me content. Van's performance sounded impressive, but it only lasted from 8 to around 9:20. Our regular beers hadn't even warmed up by then. It struck me as odd that Van didn't speak at all, and he simply finished the last song and left the stage. I initially thought it was just an intermission, only to realize it was the end when the lights came on abruptly, making it the world's shortest concert. While I don't regret attending his show, considering his rare appearances in America, I do believe the performance was too brief for the ticket price. Perhaps he should think about having an opener... or even a closer!"
